Come and join this adrenaline filled race where you battle it out against other teams-from crosswords to circuits, from dark depth to glorious heights-beat it all and get turned into the maze of hidden clues deeper and deeper-all for that treasure waiting for it, rightful owner.. Yet one wrong step and the dream are gone forever.

You can retreat and run away. Or stand up to the challenge and be a man...who knows, with your brain, and a bit of luck from your Guardian Angel, you can be the next legend...

RULES

  • Each team can consist of 2-3 members.
  • Team reaching the goal first will be the winner and the team reaching the goal second will be the runner up.
  • A set of clues will be given to the team, at time, on your way to goal.
  • Team member(s) are not allowed to follow other team(s).
  • Each team should proceed with the clue they got.
  • Team member(s) are not allowed to ask clues or any help from other team members.
  • Any duplicate copy of the clues or things given to each team at the beginning of the game will not be provided.
  • Team member(s) causing any disturbance to other events, to the stalls or to the public will not be entertained.
  • Team members should be always together and are not allowed to go alone.
  • Team member(s) are not allowed to contact any person or refer any media of information (Books, internet, dictionary etc.) unless otherwise mentioned.
  • Each team will be accompanied by a volunteer. Team member(s) are not allowed to go anywhere without volunteer’s permission.
  • Team member(s) are not allowed to leave the campus at the time of game.
  • If the team member(s) violate any of the rules mentioned, team will be disqualified.
  • The organizers have the sole authority to disqualify the team for violation of any of the rules mentioned.

EVENT PROCEDURE

  • Elimination of teams to filter out 5 teams
  • Assemble 555 oscillator (components will be provided). Test with LED
  • Apply this clock to a counter in some other room(at a particular count a code will be displayed)
  • The obtained code will be a filename of C program to be debugged
  • Answer obtained from step 4 will be the password for locked file in that system (File contains details for next step)
  • IR transmitter will transmit a code. Assemble receiver (Components and block diagram will be provided)
  • Quiz(match up) answer will provide a code
  • This code is the input to a digital clock (opening lock will provide info for next step)
  • Synchronizing members to find code of LED’s around a square box
  • Master digital lock should be unlocked for TREASURE!!!!

Sometimes you will even have to watch all your work go up in a puff of smoke literally, but then life is full of risks, and only the brave are remembered. So join up, the world need horses like you...

RULES

  • The participant must register for CIRCUITRIX on the Xplore 2010 site. For registration information go to Rules and regulations page.
  • Abstracts of the projects must be mailed to us on or before 11/02/2010
  • A team of maximum 4 members is allowed.
  • In case of non-adherence to the time limit, points will be deducted.
  • Participants are required to sent an abstract along with email id and contact number on or before 17/02/2010.
  • We will take into consideration on how the participants have used least expensive resources in order to be highly productive in terms of project output and efficiency.
  • Selected contestants will be asked to give small presentation of not more than 10 minutes for making the student crowd and other visiting lecturers aware about the working of projects.
  • Projects and models can be both hardware and software based.

EVENT PROCEDURE

  • In first round, online acceptance of projects will be done and among them best projects will be asked to attend the fest
  • In the second round,
    • Participants will be asked to bring with them the required software on which their project will be running like hardware interfacing software.
    • They will be asked to submit these specifications beforehand.
    • Senior faculty members will preside as judges during this event and their discretion will be taken into consideration for judging the winner.
  • In the third round, participants will be asked to give short presentation (10 min approx.) and winners will be decided depending on final score.
